Q: MY CHILD'S BUS STOP HAS BEEN MOVED FROM THE PREVIOUS LOCATION WHERE IT HAS BEEN. WHAT CAN I DO?
A: The SPS is required to establish a bus stop for each student within a one mile radius of the student's residence. Nearly all bus stops are much closer in proximity. However, a parent may request a bus stop change by writing a letter or submitting an email to the school their child attends. The final decision will take into account the safety and feasibility of the transportation for all students as well as transportation policies approved by the Springfield School Committee.
