Q: What is involved in the adoption process?

A: We ask that everyone living in your household meet the pet you are considering adopting.  If you are considering adopting a dog, in addition to humans in the household, we also ask that you bring any existing dogs in to meet the prospective newcomer. 

If you own you home, please bring proof of home ownership such as a tax bill or mortgage statement. If you rent, please bring the property owners' contact ifo so we can call to be sure pets are allowed.  We advise discussing this with the property owner prior to coming in to TJO. A lease containing a pet clause is acceptable in lieu of property owner information.
